Christmas – just another day

Christmas day, a few presents and a good meal but other than that we still have the cats, horses and chickens who don’t seem to understand what it’s all about, so they must be seen to as normal. We had a lovely meal and toasted our achievements thus far, and realised looking at the photos that we have actually done quite a lot. And the good news is that we now have fours of the hens laying, Marietta and Loura and two of the bantams, we think it’s Daisy and Lily, so now the egg trays are starting to fill up, time for cakes!

The weather has continued to be mostly wet. Apparently it has been known to snow at Xmas but often just on the ‘top’. No chance this year it’s just not cold enough. The good thing is that the river has risen, the stretch running through the public car park was a trickle and now it’s filled up with murky water, the murk caused by suspended clay that has been scoured and  washed down by the torrents pouring of the ‘causse’ on the top of the hills.

We are awaiting the new year and hopefully some building work starting soon, but probably not January if the weather continues like this.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator color=”custom” accent_color=”#deead0″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Perhaps you would like to know…
